500hp SeaPro outboards come standard with Next Gen Digital Throttle & Shift (DTS) controls for ultra-smooth shifting, instantaneous throttle response as well as electro-hydraulic, automotive-style power steering that provides precision handling. Intuitive, push-button access to select SmartCraft technologies such as Active Trim are integrated with the control. A Premier DTS Electronic Remote Control (ERC) upgrade for multi-engine configurations includes a convenient display on the control that’s particularly beneficial for Joystick Piloting applications.

Joystick Piloting for Outboards

Slow-speed handling has never been easier now that the industry’s most advanced Joystick Piloting system – available for multi-engine configurations with up to six SeaPro outboards – is operating alongside a steerable gearcase, two-speed transmission and dual props. Skyhook Advanced Features

Joystick Piloting includes access to Mercury Skyhook® Advanced Features, which allow you to “digitally anchor” the boat in current, set and maintain a heading, lock the bow in place or line up accurate drifts. Just punch a button, and the system goes to work. Adjustments are subtle, with no shift clunk, and they’re smooth thanks to the steerable gearcase, which eliminates distracting engine movement above the water.
